DESCRIPTION OF ATTRACTIONS:
Budapest is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and beautiful cities in Europe. Its charming location on the Danube, magnificent Buda hills full of geothermal springs, rich history, and architecture attract crowds of tourists from all over the world every year.
Heroes' Square Located at the end of the famous Andrassy Avenue, the square has been adorned with a monumental Millennium Monument since 1929, symbolizing more than a thousand years of Hungarian state history.
Vajdahunyad Castle Built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Vajdahunyad Castle, like the Millennium Monument, symbolizes Hungary's millennium. The building is characterized by great architectural diversity, as the intention of the project's author was to combine twenty stylistically diverse castles, palaces, and churches into a coherent whole. The intention succeeded brilliantly, and today the castle is a must-see for every tour visiting Budapest.
Gellert Hill The best vantage point in Budapest owes its name to St. Gellert (Gerard), who is said to have ended his life here by martyrdom in the mid-11th century. The mighty hill is built up with remnants of an Austrian fortress erected in 1850 and is crowned by a 40-meter Liberty Statue erected after World War II. The entire site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Castle Hill This is the oldest and most attractive part of Budapest. For centuries, it was the seat of Hungarian rulers who spared no expense to showcase their wealth. The historic character of the city is best highlighted by the Royal Castle, dating back to the 13th century, and the famous Matthias Church—one of the most beautiful churches in Hungary. Tourists are enchanted not only by the monumental buildings but also by the charming and mysterious streets of the Buda old town.
St. Stephen's Basilica One of the most important Hungarian churches, it impresses not only with its grandeur but also with the craftsmanship of its construction. An interesting feature of the church is the right hand of St. Stephen, the patron of the church and the first king of Hungary.
Parliament An unquestionable symbol of Budapest, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This neo-Gothic gem is still the seat of the Hungarian government, and the Hungarian crown jewels are also housed here. The building's impressive dimensions (268 m x 123 m) make it not only one of the most beautiful but also one of the largest national parliament buildings in the world.
Danube Cruise At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to see Budapest's most attractive spots from the perspective of a boat. The cruise will be the perfect culmination of this exciting day.
