Bachledovka Tree Tops Walk is located in the very heart of the diversified Pieniny National Park forest. It clearly shows what makes the nature of the Magura Spiska so exceptional. We will become acquainted with the local forests. You will become part of the local eco-system and forest and learn about different rare plant and animal species.
An early departure from Zakopane for Bachledova Dolina where we will get on a gondola lift that will take us to the top of Magura Spiska and back (c. 7 minutes one way).
During your walk in the tree tops you will have an opportunity to view and read numerous information boards concerning the life of the fauna and flora of the local forest as well as their protection and destructive forces they are subject to.
The walk is over 600 metres long and leads through diversified forest with numerous surprises and interesting information.
After the walk we take a return gondola trip to the parking area from where we continue by bus through the High Tatras (Tatranska Lomnica, Stary Smokovec) to Štrbské Pleso where you will have free time with an opportunity to walk around the lake (c. 40 minutes).
Štrbské Pleso or Štrbské Lake is located at the altitude of 1346 m.a.s.l. The lake is frequently compared to our Morskie Oko lake. It is surrounded by spruce forests, heavily damaged by the hurricane of 2004. The village enjoys the status of a resort and is a well known ski station. This beautiful place almost lost its 20 hectare lake in the 19th c. when the locals wanted to have it drained and turned into a pasture.
Return trip to Zakopane after the walk around the charming lake.
